Which Samsung TVs are supported?x
TVNZ+ is available on Samsung Smart TVs running Tizen OS:
- 2020 and newer — fully supported.
- 2017, 2018, 2019 — supported on a best-effort basis. Performance may vary depending on your TV's model, memory, and browser capabilities.
- 2016 and older — not supported.
Not sure which year your TV is? The model number on the back or in your TV's Settings > Support > About TV should help you identify it.
Setting up TVNZ+ on your Samsung TV
- Press the Home button on your Samsung remote.
- Open the Apps section or Samsung App Store.
- Search for TVNZ+.
- Select Install (or Download) and wait for it to complete.
- Open the TVNZ+ app and sign in using your email address. We'll send you a one-time code to complete the sign-in.
Troubleshooting
- Restart your TV and router: Turn off both, unplug them from the wall, wait 2–3 minutes, then turn them back on.
- Check for app updates: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now.
- Reduce background apps: Press and hold the Power button on your remote until the TV restarts.
- Reinstall the app: Home > Apps > TVNZ+ > Delete, then reinstall from the App Store.
- Reset your Samsung Smart Hub (last resort — this removes all downloaded apps): Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Reset Smart Hub. You'll need to reinstall TVNZ+ afterwards.
