Why does TVNZ want to track my location across other sites on my iPhone/iPad?
TVNZ is ad funded and personalised tracking means we can keep our advertising relevant to you - that includes less repetition and more of what you like from our trusted advertisers.
Apple IOS’s recent update requires permission from users to do this. You may have seen a notification on TVNZ+ about this - a number of local and international apps are sending out notifications for their services too.
If you accept personalised tracking, you can still turn this off at a later date. You can do this by selecting settings > privacy > tracking and toggle this off.
