If you have Enhanced Tracking Protection enabled in your browser, you might notice that you get logged out of TVNZ+ more frequently. This happens because the browser could block cookies or tracking tools that help keep you signed in.
Here are the steps to turn off this option.
Safari
- Open Safari.
- Click on Safari in the top menu bar.
- Select Settings (or Preferences on older MacOS versions).
- Go to the Privacy tab.
- Uncheck the box next to: “Prevent cross-site tracking”.
Firefox
- Open Firefox and navigate to the TVNZ+ website.
- Look at the left side of the address bar (where the website URL is shown). You’ll see a shield icon, this indicates Enhanced Tracking Protection is active.
- Click the Shield Icon. A panel will appear showing what Firefox is blocking on that site.
- Find the switch labeled “Enhanced Tracking Protection”. Click the switch to turn it off for that specific site.
- The shield icon will now appear crossed out, indicating that tracking protection is disabled for that site.
Note: This issue does not affect users on Chrome or Edge browsers.
