How can I watch sport with TVNZ?
TVNZ+ is the home of sport with TVNZ. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to sign up for a TVNZ+ account to access the sports we have. TVNZ+ accounts are free and it’s super easy to do. NZ Cricket and some major sport events will also be available to watch through our on-air channels. Check out our TV Guide at tvnz.co.nz for schedule information.
Where do I find the sport I want to watch once I’m on TVNZ+?
Head to the TVNZ+ menu on your device and click on Sport. You’ll be taken to the Sport hub which features all available content.
The sport I want to watch is live, why isn’t it accessible via ‘Live Channels’ in the menu?
Live TV refers to accessing our TV channels like TVNZ 1 via TVNZ+. While we’ll have all our sport live, a lot of it will be streamed exclusively rather than airing on our broadcast channels.
If a sport is showing on TVNZ 1 or DUKE will it also be simulcast on TVNZ+?
Yes. You can either watch the event via the simulcast of our broadcast channel. Or you can head to the Sport hub and watch the live stream of the event there.
Will replays and highlights be available?
Yes. We’ll have these on TVNZ+.
Will there be ads?
We’ll be screening ads. Advertising support ensures we can bring all these sports to New Zealanders for free. We’ll be mindful of where these ads are positioned so live action isn’t unreasonably interrupted. We’re committed to creating a great experience for both fans and brands.
Can I pay to have an ad-free experience?
TVNZ+ doesn’t currently offer a subscription service, but it’s something we’re looking at for the future.
