All ads screened by TVNZ are vetted by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). ASA is responsible for approving and classifying all television advertisements on behalf of New Zealand’s television industry. Without ASA approval a commercial cannot be broadcast in New Zealand.
Regardless of how an ad has been classified, you may still feel that an advertising code has been breached. This could be to do with the ad’s content or placement of the ad. Complaints should be made directly to the Advertising Standard Authority here
