If you're having issues with Chromecast playback on your TV (it may present itself as stuttering or freezing), there are a few things you can check.
Check 1: Try a different show or episode just to make sure the issue isn't related to just one episode.
Check 2: Try disconnecting TVNZ OnDemand from your Chromecast using the 'Disconnect' button in the Chromecast menu. Then reconnect and try again.
If that doesn't work, reboot your Chromecast by unplugging the power source for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in again.
Check 3: Check your internet speed here, to make sure it is not prohibiting your playback experience. Note: You may be required to download an app to perform this test.
If you get a result lower than 6Mbps it can cause streaming issues, and is likely to be the cause of your playback issue. If that's the case, please contact your Internet Service Provider who will help you fix that up! If your speed is greater than 6Mbps, your broadband should be fast enough to prevent buffering, so continue to the steps below.
Check 4: Make sure your Chromecast is as close to your router as possible (ideally in the same room). Walls and other electronic devices can cause Wi-Fi interference.
Check 5: Make sure you don't have too many devices using the internet at the same time.
